FINISHED!!! FINISHING being the aim of today in 33’c heat! 800m swim 31.5km bike and 7.5km hot hot run - 2:04. 3rd in my age group and 10th in the women’s race. Today wasn’t about racing for me it was my longest ever distance and I wanted to enjoy it and finish safely in the heat. Race Report: SWIM - 800m swim went well and I was one of the first out of the water. I finally mastered the art of sighting the markers which made for a much more comfortable and enjoyable swim as I

Loved every minute of it and could have kept going but work was calling!! It’s amazing when your fitness suddenly clicks and it all becomes so much more enjoyable!

I missed the turn around post so swam a little further - oops! But still was one of the first out of the water in a PB of 9:16! BIKE- Long run into transition, wetsuit off and then 400m run to bike mount (not fun in bike shoes!). The bike leg felt strong with a few surprise “hills” but I overtook a lot
Day 2 of running races. Today was Race for Life 5km in our home territory Old Deer Park. Two amazing clients smashed out an incredible 5km in the heat. So proud of them both - thank you for having me as your running buddy! X
